In our workshop of Lince we work with ancient machines of the 70′s, real mechanical ancestors which we give back life and enable us to create unique and vintage material, authentic and silky.

The effervescence of each new season at Misericordia! The workshop is excited and agitated for more than two days. Why?
Misericordia had the visit from members of the NGO Enfants des Andes (Children of the Andes). Marie-Thérèse, president of the association, and Romain wanted to know our workshop to understand better our project. It was the opportunityto exchange our experiences(experiments) and our vision about our country.

Andres Marroquin Winkelmann was born in Lima, Peru. After three years of studying Visual Communication at the University of Lima, he moved to Berlin in 2003 where he started his photography studies. He has been working as a freelance photographer in Berlin since 2004.

Photographer Claudia Janke came with Stern Magazine to make a photoshoot of the life of Misericordia workshop.
Leandro and his “boss” Edwin cut about 1000 kg of fabric per month. They receive it and store it. Then, by means of the patterns they cut the tissue, which, then will be handed over to the dressmakers.
Misericordia is a team of men and women who continuously like discover new horizons. Thus we escaped from Lima, to Chilito, in the mountains… for an unforgettable day.
To celebrate the new collection and simply to have another reason to meet all together and dance all night long!
Extreme concentration, the master class to all the seamstresses on how to use the new electronics machines! These machines will allow to simplify and to refine the work of sewing.
On the occasion of the anniversary of our two lovely trainees: Antoine and Guillaume, which were born on May 11th and 12th, 1986, (almost twins!) a surprised celebration was organized in a restaurant muy simpático in Lima!

A garden and a collection of orchids in the patio of the workshop. We progressively will develop this mini garden for benefitted from the beauty of nature and will make the workshop a little wilder.
The biggest event for this season was the creation of the Knitting workshop. So now in the Misericordia collection we can find some pieces made out with the best fibers that you can find in Peru: the best Pima cotton and the best Alpaga fiber.
Misericordia bought a washing machine. Small purchase, big change.

Edwin, one of Misericordia’s cutters, is wearing a jacket called Los Maestros, a beautiful jacket which we created in the Gamarra workshop.
In November 2006, Misericordia moved from both its workshops in Gamarra and Zapallal, into one single workshop in Lince, a spacious and well lit place. To sum up, a place which suits our operations much better.
For Christmas, the workshop treated itself to a wonderful present.
