Aurelyen – Tight one against the other
this series of photos has been done by Aurelyen, the designer of Misericordia.
Pictures has been taken along the peruvian coast in the South of Lima, where a wild faun reign over a wonderful deserted beach, mixing and facing with the Pacific coast, following waves strenght. In this marvelous place come lovers, walkers, people in quest of space without frontier and source of a real inspiration.
This long beach is limited at each edge by huge rocs rising from the sand. Those blocks come to close the walk as a powerfull wall, strong and impassable…The idea was to go there to write some words, words made to show that every wall is made to be overcame, to be crossed and destroyed. This is an invitation to cope with materials, cope with the hardness of things and try, sometimes, to cross the limited space. In front of this confrontation, human feel powerless, lost. Nevertheless the idea of the wall, of those rocs, reflect the essence of the series: tight one against each other.
Aurelyen took this picture of lovers, metaphor of the rapprochement between them. It is the desire to cross this wall between us, start a dialogue. Dialog, it is the action to tight one against the other. In this series, Aurelyen transmit the confrontation between the solid and the malleable. This is this connection that touch Aurelyen. He looks for running through this external limit that the skin, feathers, shells that protect and define us are. To tight one against the other, that means trying to know if this skin that determine us is a limit or a barrier that we can cross at anytime.
