ART – Erotic painter Alberto Vargas
Born in Arequipa (1896-1982) he studied art in Europe and became a painter of eroticism, his speciality: the pin-up women. His career began in United States notably because of his publications in the Esquire magazine which were taken back on the nose of some plane of the Second World War. He was present on exhibitions around the globe. Today numerous of his works are held by the Spencer Art Museum of Kansas University.
