Little time after his arrival, intern Joseph is asked to organize a videotech for the workshop’s workers. Aureylen doesn’t want an ordinary videotech where the workers could see a collection of blockbuster movies tearing up the box office. This implies no Spider Man 3, Shrek 3, or Pirates of the Carribean 3. No, Aureylen would rather share a collection of movies which have had an impact on the history of film making, works of art which will provoke rare reactions within the members of the team. In the collection, a few of Hitchcock’s, Visconti’s or Kubrick’s films can be found, among others. Aureylen is worried as to the reaction this initiative will induce from members of staff. How will they welcome older films, sometimes in black and white, or more complex films demanding special concentration? Do they all posess a DVD player at home? But in the end, the collection proves to be a big success. Each worker regularly takes films home, and always asks for more. This reminds us that we work with real Peruvians with a hunger for the discovery of the unknown and culture. We’re thrilled.

Aurelyen ne souhaite pas une simple DVDthèque où les ouvriers pourraient voir une collection des derniers blockbusters faisant ravage auprès du box office. Donc, pas de Spider Man 3, Shrek 3, ou Pirates des Caraïbes 3. Non, Aurelyen veut partager une collection de films qui ont marqué l’histoire du cinéma, des chefs d’œuvres qui provoqueront des réactions inédites au sein des membres de l’équipe. Dans la collection, on trouve des films d’Hitchcock, Visconti, Kubrick… Aurelyen est inquiet quant à l’accueil que cette initiative aura auprès de l’équipe. Comment vont-ils réagir à des films anciens, parfois en noir et blanc, ou à des films complexes qui demandent beaucoup de concentration ? Possèdent-ils tous un lecteur DVD chez eux ? Mais finalement la collection fait preuve d’un grand succès. Chaque ouvrier emmène régulièrement des films et en redemande toujours. Cela nous rappelle que nous travaillons avec de vrais péruviens avec une soif de découverte de l’inconnu et de culture. Nous sommes ravis.
