Lutz – Nuestro Companero
Misericordia and Lutz met two years ago, at the very beginning of our project. Lutz, a German fashion designer who works and lives in Paris, was the first major designer to renovate the classic jacket Lima. He gave a new direction to the garment by transforming it into a motorcycle jacket. This adventure is a collaboration between Lutz and the Cabaña de Alta Costura Misericordia, the sewing workshop located in the slums of Lima. This is where the prototype and the production of this garment was made by Aurelyen and Valentina Quispe Montes as shown in Lutz.
